Hey guys,
Last week, I announced that I am planning to propose to my girlfriend that I have been dating for the past two years.
To my surprise, I got a lot of people emailing me to congratulate me. I am very fortunate to have loyal members like you.
Honestly, I have no idea how I am going to propose yet. I could use your help. If you have any ideas, please share it here.

So here’s a thought I was thinking for myself. I’m going to hawaii with my girlfriend. She’s never been, and so the whole trip will be amazing, but I was thinking we could go snorkeling, and as we’re snorkeling, find a really clear area of water, and a sandy bottom, if I can find a spot with some fishies around. I’d dive down to the bottom while holding my breath, and get on one or both knees, and pull out the ring box or some container to hold the ring – obviously I’m going to be super careful with it as to not lose it! And I will present it to her under water. I won’t be able to say her full name and ask her, but just the reaction alone you should be able to tell, and then when I surface, we can talk, and I can properly put it on her finger when we get back to the beach…
I’m not sure of your location, but if you’ve got an ocean maybe take her snorkeling!

Well I thought long and hard about how I would propose and I figured that you can either go romantic or memorable. Since romance is something that may be different from person to person I decided on memorable. What I did was I proposed in a photo booth. The pictured turned out like this 1. Us smiling, 2. Me holding the box and her a little confused, 3. Box open and still shocked, 4. Smiling after saying yes.
Like I said I went for memorable and nothing is more memorable than pictures. It worked great for me and as far as I know it’s not been over done and isn’t expected like the usual hidden in the desert.
Oh and yeah don’t bother trying to kneel in the booth, it’s too small, so you can kneel after you get out and are waiting for your pictures to develop.

My mate did a pretty cool thing, he somehow got the box the ring inside a baloon (spelling?) and he walked in the park with her and had a picnic and stuff, then (carefull on a blanket or something so it doesnt fall out in the grass
) he told her to pinch a hole in the baloon and thats it ;D

Love is in the air… she can really imagine that you are going to propose.
Good Ideas are the ones that come directly through your heart.
A good romantic dinner, in an private restaurant, and a chocolate figure of her carrying the ring!!!!!!
Another, a wedding cake, with one of your most precios photos, and the ring at the top of the cake.
Also a you can propose in a horse ride at the beach side!!!!!

The best way to propose to your lady would be to incorporate a place or memory you 2 have shared together. That combined with a somewhat over the top presentation would be marvelous.
Perhaps you should inform her close relatives that you’re proposing and you would like to do it at a place important to her. I bet they could provide marvelous insight to places she used to frequent as a child.

Hey man,
congrats! This is exciting. first of all, i think it should be just the two of you. At least that’s how my girl would like it. second, try and combine romantic, fun, exciting, and memorable. Maybe the beach at sunset? the balloon idea is pretty cool, the hot air balloon that is. or… find a sweet waterfall, at a state park or something, then go for it. You know best how to propose to your girlfriend, you know her better than we do. best of luck man!

You know why incited me to learn the guitar? yeap, you get it – to serenade to a girl. Trust me mate, serenading to a girl it’s the most powerful and emotionally engaging way to express your love to her. I would recommend you to start learning a few chords and the best song suited for this occassion would be “Hero” from Enrique Iglesias! trust me =) I have tried it many times and all girls end up swirled by the magic twist of the enchanting melodies and my mellow, but manly, voice =)

I am really happy that you are going to propose your girlfriend.
I got a few ideas for you, one is if you can find a french restaurant with a friend working in it then ask the manager to help you. I am saying french restaurant because french understand love like no other people. When you are in the restaurant and when you want to pop the question, ask the manager to bring two glass of champagne and in one of them should contain the wedding ring at the bottomof the glass. And you take it out and then fall on your knees and propose her..

when i propose to my girl, it was NOT planed.
I was trying to find the right moment, trying to plan a great night, but in the end, things happen suddenly.
what i can say is try no to Plan this too much, because some times things go other ways and it could be different than how you plan it.

I recently got married last year and my wife loved the way I proposed to her. I am kind of shy so the way to trick her was to throw her a surprise bday party. a year prior to this I bought a wooden puzzle carved in the shape of a heart that came in a custom made wooden box. Durignher bday party, i setup a slide show of pictures showign her as a baby and growign up. the latter part of the slide show were pictures of us playing to our first song that we ever slow danced to. when it got to a certain point in the slide show, i took photos of the puzzle in sections. the first slide read WILL, then YOU MAR, then RY ME, and then my wife’s name. Everybody at the party was shocked at what they witnessed but not more than my fiance. I video taped the whole thing and peopel till this day talk about it. Pro Show Gold was the software i used to make the slide show with music. it allows you to burn it to DVD and play it anywhere. the Puzzle website is no longer around but i just wanted to give you my idea. thansk for the workouts on You Tube. Well, here’s an idea. It’s kinda lame, but it’s creative. If she likes Chinese food, take her out for dinner one night. Talk to the manager of the restaurant about ordering a special fortune cookie. Have the script inside the cookie ask her to marry you, and if you want, have the ring inside the cookie.

This how you propose:
1. Take a complete day off and have her do the same.
2. Take her to where ever she desires, and do whatever she wants.
3. Make sure you guys have a chance to walk and talk.
4. While walking and talking say, “I would love to spend the rest of my life with you”
5. Pop out the ring and ask her to marry you.

Hi Arnel! I’m afraid I’m not too good at thinking up ways to propose. However, I may have an idea:
This is just an assumption, but if you have some wilderness nearby.. Back a bag for a weekend and take her camping. Then there out in the wild to the light of a fire, make her a really nice wilderness-dinner (weal, or some other great kind of meat, with salad and a side of home made bread) with a good vine. After the dinner you can simply (cool and collected, if you manage) propose to her. Out in the wild you can both be totally secluded and make sweet euphoric love in celebration of your engagement.

Think of something that she really likes to do. What is her favorite hobby? Work that into the proposal in some way. Like, is she loves to shop, work that in there in some way. Good luck, and congrats.

Try doing it in the mall…Go on a romantic date then on your way back when ur crossing through just get on ur knees and wait until everyone goes quite and stops talking they will all be looking at u and her… then tell her that u love her and do ur propose there is no way on earth that she will say no… i have tried this before and i got an i do

well im too young to propose something like you but i did this thing for my last girl(after 1 year im still withh her) we were in love obiously but after 4 months i havent told her about it so i´ve start 1 week to make the theme began to be in her mind but only that
so that friday i took her to 1 of the most romantic restaurants of my city & to dance in her favorite club & well that was the perfect night for her and i went seriously she obious thougth i was going to take the next step but i told her just the stupid thing that i was goig to be 1° team in my football team, she in a second changed her face, she was dissapointed & i left her .
she went to my match the next day and infront of all the school,friends and parents ,bla , bla , bla i took the microfone and explained myself i told her that i thought of telling her the last night but it dont be enought so (a local band came and i song with them her favorite song ) i went trough her and declared my love
welll its too cursi i think but it work for me im still with her and i think its a good way to start the next step

I saw a guy who asked the big question by putting a big sign on the ground, and later taking a balloon ride towards where the sign was, and she was able to see it !

Hey Rnel this is Carson! I think this is a pretty good idea for proposing to Sara. Blind fold her, and then take her to the first place you were when you asked her out, or the first romantic date you went on etc… then start telling her all of the romantic things like “you know I have always loved you, and I want to be with you forever, and you are the one person who makes me happy etc… then get on your knee and propose to her. I guarantee she will remember it!!! I wish the best of luck to both of you for ever!!

Do you, your girlfriend and your friends like bike riding? if so, on a nice day, ride your bikes together and have your friends participate. Here’s how you do it, you and your guy buddies ride your bikes down a hill while your girlfriend and her gal buddies ride behind you, try to separate at least a quarter mile apart. When the gals are nowhere in sight, pretend to fall down and when your girlfriend and her gals catches up, of course at this time she’s going to be concern about you, then you say, “I think I trip on a rock and I think it’s this rock” then you bust out your ring and ask her to marry you with all your friends there. This is how I proposed. My girl loved it. My girlfriend and I had recently been invited to a picnic on a Saturday. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend. On the following Tuesday, I casually asked her if she wanted to go for a picnic dinner. I picked up our favorite Chinese, (Before my girlfriend, I would have never eaten Chinese). I had already placed the picnic basket in the back of the truck. We had a nice dinner at the park, next to a river. After dinner we took a small walk and stopped at an observation area overlooking a dam. As she looked at some ducks, I dropped to one knee and presented the ring. I felt like I was down there for at least a minute- as soon as she saw me she started crying- she didn’t hear what I said-but said yes when I quit talking. My wedding (Sep 20-08) is the reason I’m starting your program. Best of luck to both of us!

This is a more simple one, but still effective. Go to a restaruant with her one night. Plan ahead and have the waiter put a ring in the bottom of her glass of whatever she gets, or somewhere on her meal.. Then do it in front of the restaurant and maybe even have some of your friends and family at the restaurant hidden in another section until you actually do propose. Hope this helps.

You know how when you ride on a roller coaster, it takes a picture as you’re going down and then when you’re finished you walk down and look at how dumb you look? Well, I saw someone who sat behind his girlfriend on the ride and held up a sign asking her to marry him as they passed the camera so that when they went to view the picture at the end of the ride, he proposed. I thought that was a good one….

You’ll get a variety of ideas but in the end it’s really what sort of thing she’d like. I did it at home so I could cotrol the entire enviroment (no interruptions or issues) but a good friend of mine proposed in a restaraunt then had all her friends and family waiting at a bar after diner.

glad to be part of such a specialm event… Im young and in love and everyday i dream and picture how my dream purposal would go.. sometimes a girls view is a little easier… find out where she is mostly herself… if its in the wild like someone above said then that would be perfect, if she is very fancy then a fabulous restaurant would be great.. it always depedns on your girl only you know her best.. I myself is adventurous my dream purposal would be…. taken to the highest peak, that overlooks a lit up city, or an amazing view of a waterfall.. somewhere that when i close my eyes and open my arms if feels like im flying.. have ur arms behind her around her waist so the only thing she can do is picture what you look like… wisper to her gently how much you love her and how much she truly means to you, turn her around, or u get infront of her somehow and get down on one knee..carefull not to fall over the edge..:P it all depends on who and what type of girl she is… only you can know the real answer… big tip WHEN THE TIME IS READY IT WILL HAPPEN..!!

I proposed to my wife two years ago when we were camping in the woods. She was cooking scrambled eggs in a skillet, and she asked me when I was going to pop the question, so I went down on my knee and asked her to marry me. I had already planned to ask her the next time she asked me about it.
Not planned whatsoever. It did happen in a place that is special to us, though. The girl before that, I proposed when we were in the shower (we broke up soon after).

I actually just got married on friday the 9th. My lady and I are really simple so I took her to her favorite rest. and while she was watching the screen flip through pics of Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles, I got down on one knee. congrats, I never proposed. but If I did I would start from the beginning of how you too met, maybe do something only you too would understand, I believe proposing is something personal, maybe refresh her memeory of something she doesnt think you remember. (_MAYBE EVEN HAVE ALL OF US PLAY A PART MAYBE SEND IN A VIDEO AFTER YOU PROPOSE, SAYING CONGRATS. ITS ONLY RIGHT WE OWE YOU SO MUCH (your workout videos are priceless….)

Its simple:
Find out what shes wanted to do that she hasnt been able to do yet, for example my girlfriend wants to go to disney land and is completely in love with all of the disney movies and characters so if i was to propose i would do it at magic kingdom during the fireworks, but thats just me.
Then take her there or do the thing she wants to do, find the right moment, and pop the question.
I figure that planning out a schedule seems to never work so just let most of it fall into place.

i dont know about ideas, but NEVER PUT THE RING IN THE FOOD!, my friend did that and the girl he was going to propose to ate the roll that had the ring inside. never a good idea to put a 7000$ ring in a 2$ breadroll. they got the ring back, but they had to *fish for it*

Well, Since you want it to be memorable. Whats more memorable then having it on video?
Since she video’s all your workouts for you, and you have the bodylastic carrying bag, empty the bag, put the ring with the case inside of it, so its the ONLY thing in it, get in the middle of a workout & ask her nicely if she would get a ‘band’ for you out of the bag, if she reaches in & says ‘its not in here’ you could say ‘you sure? dump it out’ and the ring will fall out. But if she doesnt say ‘its not in here’ and just pulls it out, its basically the same. Tell her she doesn’t have to shut the camera too, so you have it on tape :]

Well Arnel,
In a lot of your videos you have before, during, and after pictures of yourself. Try and find a lot of pictures of you and Sara and put them in chronological order, so that each picture is representing a moment in time with her. Pick out a few pics that seem important enough to label and give them labels with the date and what was going on.
Now the fun/hard part. Wait for her to go out somewhere (maybe send her on an errand) and find a LOT of red yarn/ribbon. Now starting from the door that she’ll come in at, string the “Time Line” throughout your house and place the pictures at regular intervals. Have it wind ALL around your house, really send her for a walk. Finally, end it at your bedroom door with a label on the door with just the date. When she opens the door, be there ready with the ring box in hand and a marker and camera in your pocket, so that when she says yes, you can take a picture and write it all down to keep forever.

IF SHE DIGS A RUSH TAKE HER TO A RIVER RAFTING TRIP. PUMP UP THE IDEA AND TELL HER HOW EXCITING IT WOULD BE FOR THE BOTH OF YOU TO EXPERIENCE A WEEKEND CAMPING AND RIVERING DOWN SOME SLOPES. IF YOU DECIDE TO GO THERE TELL YOUR GUIDE TO GO TO A WICKED RIVER AND JUST TELL YOUR LADY THAT ITS A SIMPLE BEGGINER LEVEL SLOPE. DOWN THAT SLOPE SHE IS GOING TO HATE YOU AND PROBABLY CURSE YOU OUT. WELL AT THE END OF THAT SLOPE WHERE ITS FLAT AND STILL . ASK HER IF SHE IS MAD AND WILL SHE ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS MOMENT. HOPEFULLY SHES PISST! THEN YOU ASK HER TO MARRY YOU!!! You shoul prpose either in a big romatic stunt (e.g picnic in a hot air balloon, bungy jump while holding a message asking for mariage etc) or do something she has always wanted to do (maybe sky diving, visting somewhere she has always wanted to go etc) and propose during it, the big finale

Have your friend take a picture of you proposing to her without her knowing about it and make it really special and you can put that picture on the card you give to everyone anouncing that you will be getting married. CONGRATULATION DUDE, well i suggest you not to think too much, cuz if u think too much you will get confused too much, so just do one thing listen to your heart and ofcourse you know what she like and dislike and also you know what she like in you (i mean to say your habbit or the way to talk or whatever) try to mix them all (not dislikes but sometimes a lil bit dislikes things will helpfull too BUT I DONT SUGGEST YOU TO DO DISLIKES.) and you will get a result, and with that you can make a perfect plan how to purpose her. I did this to my love and I got success (but she knows me so i mixed some dislikes too

the ring is cool right, but what about the box, I think u shud do sumthin like personalize the box.go to a leather shop and ask if they can cover u a box with leather, after go to a printer and ask if they could print sumthin on the leather. print what u want: marry me, a poem whatever, here comes the most important:in the box there will be a ring, but in the ring u put an usb key,in the key, put a video of ppl u picked up in the street and made them say a text like: please marry me…just like a video demand u know. I have another idea, one of my friend tried it, and said it was wonderful. buy a ring and go to a wood sculptor, tell him to represent you and her, back to back, with clothes u like, it’s gotta be a very fine sculpture,and the detail, put the ring you bought on the head of the girl in the sculpture, like if it was a crowd,when she will see this, u can give her the box u made with please marry me written on it, or just in a paper sheet.

thanks for all the workouts!
here is what i did and it worked great (she was very surprised and very happy)
1. i told her we were going to st augustine for the day and to have dinner with friends. the important thing is that she marked it on her calendar AND she thought she knew what we were doing (this way she didn’t suspect anything and this helped with the surprise)
2. on the day of, i told her i needed to quickly inspect some property before we drove out to st augustine. i am a real estate appraiser and the “property” was located around a park (where i was gonna propose). this gave me an excuse to get her into the park without her suspecting anything.
3. i pulled out a candy ring (my fiancee designs jewelry so i knew i could do the best by letting her pick out her new ring because she is kind of an expert and knows what she wants). it turns out, her dream was for her future husband to propose with a candy ring – no lie!
4. anyway, long story short it worked and she was so happy, surprised and didn’t expect ANYTHING! i proposed early in the day (11pm) so we had time to spend the rest of the day ring shopping. we did end up going out to st. augustine too. we thought that this would be a good place to find a ring for her
-the key is get her to mark her calendar for an event that will actually not end up happening (this will throw her off the scent and she will have the time already set aside ).
-personalize your presentation according to your girl’s preferences (for example, i knew my girl wanted to pick out her own ring so i got a candy one, etc.)
-you’ll know when the time is right and you will be nervous (i was) so just relax the best you can and go for it.
-definitely plan ahead, BUT you may need to improvise if the moment requires it. (when i got to the park she actually wanted to stay in the car as i inspected my “properties.” )
-have a camera. you both will want pictures

Have you heard about geocaching? I would suggest finding all your special memorable places and mark the location coordinates. If it was a restaurant ask the manager to give her an envelope, if it was a park hang something in a tree, ect. On the day, send her on a treasure hunt to find the locations…(this will give you time to get your preparations in order) At each point she’ll find a glue/symbol of your love, these she’ll need to keep because once she reached the last location. She’ll then put them together in the order they were found to reveal the location where you have prepare the stage for your proposal. This can be a limo that will take her to you or a really special place you’ll feel comfortable like a rooftop. This will cause allot of anticipation throughout the day and as we know woman really love this feeling of anticipation. Have dinner, a conversation, anything to relax and make her feel that this was the end but before the excitement dissipates… pull out one last location that you’ll have to uncover together. This will act as a symbol for the journey your about to undertake together and where you’ll discover continuous treasures, together. Have the ring at this location as it is the first treasure for this new path you would like to take with her.

Hey Arnel, Congrats! I am very excited for you. I was reading over some of the suggestions you recieved on here. And the one that keeps coming back to me is the one posted by Giulia, May 14 at 1:56 am. ( Seriously I wish my husband could have come up with this one! It would have been amazing!) I am a real outdoorsy girl. I like simple things. And I would prefer to be alone. So this one would have been perfect. ( Your girlfriend could be totally different if she doesnt like wilderness though… maybe you could enlist one of her friends to help you research her dream proposal… it could be brought up in a very casual gab session the girls are having)
I would add to this to the idea see if you could find a place either right there or close by where you (or a friend just before hand) could set up a table and bring in a great steak dinner or whatever she loves have the place all lit up with clear lights string them through the trees or (with lack of electricity) just the maybe use tikki torches and candles.
You could also for the extra touch go out and buy champagne flutes.. ones you could use at your wedding dinner, you could have them personalised if you wanted and have champagne at your dinner. I suggest not proposing at the dinner table.. its used so often now and seems completly unthought of… again she may think differently.
No matter what you decide on, make sure you spend the time to think of the things she likes and personalise it that way… and remember the small things that people do that matter.

Look this is what I would do, it needs to be memorable and romantic. This takes time and effort but I believe its worth it. Find a restaurant. Fine dining preferably, but small, cozy, with art on the walls. Find a table with a nice location to it, take a picture. Dress up nice and have a friend take a picture of you on one knee. Get your girlfriend to dress up nice for whatever reason, and surprise her with a gift, and get a picture of her reaction. Send these pictures to an artist (I would go with an oil painter), and have the artist combine them into a painting, as if you were proposing to her in the painting. (If there are no local artists in your area, you can find plenty online, just make sure its a painter and not a photoshop guy)
Now once you have this painting, make a reservation at that same restaurant at that same table. Convince her to wear that same dress, and you wear the same clothes from the painting. Talk to the management (which you should at least get the go ahead from them for this next part before you take the picture of the table). Have them hang the painting on the wall where she won’t notice it while you two are eating.
Talk to her about how special she is and even just a simple night out to eat with her is something you never want to forget. And you think you should buy a painting off the wall of the restaurant to forever remember this night. Take her to the painting and as she realizes its a painting of you proposing to her, get down on one knee.

I would go for memorable. I think its more of a personal level than romancing her. Ive been with my girlfriend for 5 yrs and not engaged yet but my thought of proposing to her, to where I think she would never forget it, is placing the ring in her finger while she is asleep and when she finally wakes up (notices or not the ring on her finger) get down on the knee and pop the big question. My hubby proposed to me November 2006 in Rogers and Hollands jewelry store as we were supposedly just looking for rings. When I found one I liked, he asked the salesperson to take it out of the case. He took the ring, got down on one knee in the store and asked me to marry him. Of course, those passing by stopped to watch. He took me by surprise and it was romantic. We got married July 2007. It was and is great.
Your girlfriend will love whatever you do because she loves you and wants to be with you and she will know it is coming from the heart. I believe she wants you to ask her. She is just waiting until you do. I know I was.

Well it depends on how you met her… but one way is find the highest point in the city where you live… like a skyscraper or bell tower… and have her close her eyes then she walks up to the top and when she opens ther eyes she would be amazed by the view and thats when you tell her that “this is how you felt at such a breath taking sight when you first saw her” (your feelings in words). Then you would say i want to feel that way for the rest of my life then propose to her! yet all this would have to take place at sunset for the romantic touch.

My wife and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in June (6/18) – the night I proposed to her was at dinner for her 23rd birthday – I won’t go into the night or details – at the proper moment I simply asked her “what are you doing for the next 80 years” – we were 23 so I figured 103 years old was plenty of years! – Well we have 55 years to go on “the deal” as we call it. We are still madly in love and best of all – still best friends.
And – even though I’m 48 now – I can all of your workouts in the timeframes to which you challenge us – you’ve got to step it up man!

My friend just proposed to his girlfriend last week and I thought he had a pretty creative idea. He bought one of those digital picture frames and loaded it with all pictures of them. it started with a picture he took that said heres to the past years and then at the end said and heres to many more to come. thepicture that popped up after that was a picture of the ring. when she turned around confused he was on his knee begind her and asked her to marry him. She was so surprised and totally loved it!

Hey man, congrats! She is gorgeous! I brought my girl to our favourite spot in the mountains one night where you can see all the lights in Dublin and presented her with a gift of 3 things I had kept since we were kids (we were childhood sweethearts!) Just simple things, a hairclip, an old ring and an old letter she had written to me. She was amazed because Im not sentimental at all, i dont even keep photos. Then i offered her another ring! she said yes! You may not know your girl that long but the principle might still work! Best of luck.

I did it simple. We had to go to a 50th wedding anniversary party for my grand parents. When we got back home, i suggested why dont we have a bonfire. during the night she went inside for water (3 days prior to this we found out she was pregnant) I had hidden a dozen roses nad the ring beside the fire wood so she couldnt see them. When she sat back down I pulled them out and popped the question. It wasnt the most romantic thing in the world but she was totally caught off guard. Just plan something simple, to much and you risk something will go wrong. Go to a hill and watch the sunset with a picnic. Good luck

I proposed to my girl using fireworks. I ordered a firework that came on a wooden frame that simply said “marry me?” The look on her face was priceless. It managed to say it far better than I ever could.
By the way, you’re 8wk programme to drop the body fat is pretty damn good. I’ve lost 5% body fat and 10lbs in 8 weeks. No six pack yet but close at 12.5% body fat & 170lbs / 5′7.

Why don’t you ask her for dinner, in a restaurant, rent the entire restaurant only for you and her, ask the cooker to make her favourite meal and tell him to put in the plate something special to her. Choose her favourite song, her favourite love song would be better, and play it in the restaurant.
After the meal, tell her all you want to say, and after that, she will not be able to refuse your proposal because if she does she’ll hurt you and she’ll know it..show her the ring..and start preparing the marriage

And now for your question. Personally I’m really romantic + I LOVE games (you know, quises and clues), so I would have combined those two things! You could give her a quiz of some kind to lead her to you – has to be simple, but not to simple. When she arrives there should be a lot of her favorite flowers surrounding “the enterense”, and a lot of petals should lead her to were you’re sitting. Finally, (if out door) you could be sitting on a planket sett for to, and with an “old fashion” bottle of alcohol as a candle. Maybe you could rent some fireworks that would go off “exactly” when you ask?! …. Man! This makes me want to get married! ^-^ <3<3

Arnel: if you like sporting events do this at whatever event you attend. at a baseball game during the change of innings ask the organ player pressbox announcer to put it up on the stats /scoreboard. usually they have cameras and EVERYONE WILL NOTICE.football game – at halftime. hockey between quarters. you could have her meet you at one of the parks you exercise at and leave notes or better yet drop rose petals leading her to your ring placed in a box. and you be hidden somewhere nearby”up a tree” or you could take her to a resturant place your order and in a bottle of champagne or on a silver platter covered have the ring for her to discover. good luck and take my advise never, never, let her catch you in a lie. however small it may be. you gotta have TRUST.

Whats up? Got an idea I know your in New Jersey, so take a trip to Cape May. Its’ a great place to take someone to relax (your gonna need it) stay at a nice B&B on the ocean, go out to dinner (got a few suggestions for that too) or, if you know the man upstairs pray for no rain, have dinner on the beach. My daughter lives their and is in the restaurant business. She works at the top rated restaurant in South Jersey. So this can be arraigned shes friend with the owner and wife and chefs.

Here’s how I did it. Being that today is my 2 yr anniversary, it seems fitting to pass it on.
It started way before the proposal date. I learned everything I can about diamonds-down to every facet and detail. I’m a photographer so I decided put my creative abilities to use and custom design her ring. I had a contact in Canada for loose diamonds so I got her 3 of the technically best diamonds I could find-colorless and perfect dimensions. The band had channel set rubies and diamonds, our birthstones and the center and 3 large princess cuts. The basket was designed to be a crown. This took months but it was absolutely stunning. On the night of the proposal, I took her out to one of our favorite restaurants. I knew she is a dessert freak so I told her that I had a special dessert place I wanted to take her to. I told her that if she saw what direction we were driving, it would ruin the surprise so she agreed to go blindfolded. I drove her to the location and let’s say the rest is history-she was floored. I had my sister and a friend decorate and already elaborate gazebo in the middle of a local rose garden with sheer fabric, string lights through the fabric, rose petals, candles and pillows. I brought in two nice tv tray stands and decorated that further. The candles were vanilla scented so that she would think it was really a restaurant. I had another friend of mine sit in a corner wearing all black and playing romantic songs on a violin. I had hot chocolate, sparkling wine, and cheesecake ready on the tables. She opened her eyes, we danced, she laughed and cried and in the end I put the ring on the wrong hand! LOL. We both didn’t notice till the next day. And now we are having our first baby! Good luck!

you should go to your local police department and create good rapport with them. Then as part of an elaborative plan, have then put you in the back of a small truck (the kind that you can be put in the back without anyone seeing in). Have the police come to the house while your girlfriend is home. then have them tell her some crazy story about you getting in trouble and them having to lock you up for many years and this is her last chance to see you before you go in bars. she runs to the back of the truck, fights with the cops to open the doors and let her baby out (you). Then when she does finally open the doors, you’ll be on one knee with a sparkly ring in your hand. I’m sure she’ll love it.

I’m very old school so I just went for the romantic approach. I took her to a place that had a nice fountain. I played “our song” on the guitar and then I got down on one knee and proposed.
The funny part was that I was going to propose on July 4th as we watched the fireworks going off. Unfortunately, Her nephew tagged along and so I just postponed it. This postponing went on for one reason or another and I wound up carrying that engagement ring underneath my car seat for two weeks. Thank GOD, my car didn’t get broken into during that time
